At Bees Dreams we believe in protecting the health of our clients through
safe products and our larger impact on the environment. We aim to reduce our impact on the world around us as much as possible.
Did you know paraffin wax is also known as petroleum wax? It comes from petroleum, coal and oil shale production. It is cheap and easy to source which is why it is so commonly used in large scale candle making. There are many people who experience headaches or nausea when using paraffin based candles and melts which is due to the fumes produced during heating and burning. As an environmentally concerned company we do not use or support the use of paraffin.
Our choice wax is soy based and is sometimes supplemented with bees wax for structural and hardening purposes. We aim for environmentally safe packaging as well. We like using reusable containers such as jars and if you are close to a local supplier we offer refills. Our wax melts are sold in compostable "plastic" containers for now but we are looking into more sustainable options for this product. Our wicks are cotton or wood and we are open to all suggestions to help reduce our footprint on our beautiful planet.
